This experiment in the desert grew out of an awareness that my relationship with filmmaking had become strained. I got tired of accepting all the aspects of my work that were opposed to the rhythms of my life. It was no longer a badge I was proud to wear. I didn’t set out to make something “good” as much as something real. I think that’s a foreign concept for many artists trained in the school of self-importance. I was more interested in engaging in the act of looking and listening and then making a semi-autobiographical record of where and who I was on June 2nd and 3rd of 2015. Fusing life and art, the seen and the unseen. An interpenetration of key aspects of my being and of my environment with my being. I hope you enjoy this really personal film.
